Today we usually associate persecution with narrow minded bigots, ie. radical Islam, etc. But intolerance is a knife that has cut both ways. Individuals who otherwise prided themselves on being inclusive have resorted to some of the most intense persecution. There was just a one idea they couldn't tolerate - 'One'.
